Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer aspiring to advance renewable energy and battery storage solutions? We’re seeking a skilled professional to join our team, leveraging their expertise in PSCAD and other power system simulation tools to drive innovative grid integration projects.

Position Overview

As a Senior Power System Consultant, you will engage in innovative power system simulation and model development projects. Your primary focus will be integrating renewable energy sources and battery storage into power grids, ensuring their reliable and efficient operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed power system simulations using PSCAD.
  • Develop, validate, and improve simulation models for integrating renewable energy sources and battery storage systems.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality simulation studies and reports.
  • Support less-experienced colleagues in reaching their full potential by providing coaching.
  • Utilize Python programming skills to enhance project outcomes.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Master’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in PSCAD for power system simulation.
  • Excellent analytical skills combined with a proactive problem-solving mindset.

Preferred:

  • Experience with other comprehensive power system simulation tools (e.g., PSS®E, DigSILENT PowerFactory, or Neplan).
  • Basic Python programming skills for data analysis and simulation automation.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy systems and battery energy storage technologies.
