PGE Appoints Jouni Mälkönen as New CEO to Drive International Growth

Tampere, 9.4.2026 — Power Grid Engineers PGE Oy, a Finnish power system engineering consultancy, has appointed Jouni Mälkönen as Chief Executive Officer. The appointment, made by PGE’s Board of Directors, takes effect 7.4.2026. Mälkönen will lead PGE’s next chapter of growth, with a particular focus on driving PGE’s international growth.

Jouni Mälkönen brings extensive leadership experience in the energy technology sector. In various leadership positions, he has led business development, complex project deliveries and international commercial activities. Mälkönen has a strong record of driving significant business growth and building high-performing multi-cultural organizations.

Jouni has served as CEO of Sähkölandia Oy and held CEO and Product Manager roles at Grid Solutions Oy and ALSTOM Grid Oy. He has developed extensive international expertise through leadership positions at global companies including GE, ALSTOM, AREVA, and ABB.
